Bitcoin (BTC) continues to trade in a tight range near $63,000 after a sharp correction wiped out its spring rally. The leading cryptocurrency has struggled to regain momentum following its rejection above $80,000 earlier this year, leaving traders watching for the next major move.

On the daily chart, Bitcoin's price action has entered a consolidation phase, signaling a temporary balance between buyers and sellers. BTC is hovering close to its 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) at around $63,950, suggesting short-term equilibrium rather than a clear bullish or bearish trend.

Despite the recent stability, the broader technical outlook remains cautious. Bitcoin is still trading below its 100-day EMA near $67,200 and the 200-day EMA around $72,800. Both longer-term moving averages continue to slope downward, indicating that the broader market trend has yet to shift back in favor of bulls.

Trading activity has also weakened during the consolidation period. Declining volume suggests that market participants are waiting for a stronger catalyst before committing to larger positions. While reduced volume often precedes a significant price move, the current chart offers little indication of whether the breakout will occur to the upside or downside.

Momentum indicators reinforce the neutral outlook. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits at 46, reflecting balanced market conditions without signs of excessive buying or selling pressure.

For bullish traders, the key resistance remains the 100-day EMA at approximately $67,000. A successful move above that level could improve Bitcoin's technical outlook and pave the way for a test of the 200-day EMA near $73,000. Reclaiming both moving averages would mark the first meaningful signal that the broader downtrend is losing strength.

On the downside, immediate support is located between $62,000 and $63,000, an area that has repeatedly attracted buyers in recent weeks. A decisive break below this range could expose BTC to another decline toward the psychologically important $60,000 level.

For now, Bitcoin remains locked in consolidation, with traders waiting for a decisive catalyst to determine its next major trend.
