NEAR Price Struggles Below Key Resistance as Recovery Remains Uncertain

NEAR Protocol (NEAR) continues to trade under pressure despite showing early signs of stabilization after its recent correction. The cryptocurrency has managed to establish support near the $1.60 level following weeks of declines from its summer highs. While this has helped prevent a deeper sell-off for now, the overall technical outlook remains cautious as bearish market conditions continue to dominate.

One of the biggest concerns for NEAR price is that it remains below all major moving averages, including the 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day indicators. This alignment typically signals that the asset is still in a broader corrective trend rather than the beginning of a sustained recovery. These moving averages now represent multiple resistance levels that bulls must overcome before market sentiment can improve.

After testing the $1.60 support zone, buyers stepped in to trigger a modest rebound. However, the recovery has been accompanied by weak trading volume, suggesting that institutional investors have yet to return. Without stronger buying activity, any upward movement is likely to face selling pressure as the price approaches nearby resistance levels.

Momentum indicators also present a neutral outlook, leaving the market vulnerable to either another downward move or a gradual recovery depending on broader crypto market conditions. The first significant hurdle for buyers is the 200-day moving average near $1.80. Successfully reclaiming that level could improve technical sentiment and open the door for a move toward the 50-day and 100-day moving averages, with the latter positioned around $1.90.

On the downside, the $1.60-$1.62 range remains the most important support area. A breakdown below this zone could erase much of NEAR's summer gains and send the token back toward price levels last seen before the May breakout.

Although NEAR Protocol appears to be stabilizing after its recent decline, technical indicators do not yet confirm that buyers have regained control. The coming sessions will be critical, as reclaiming major moving averages could strengthen the case for a trend reversal, while failure to do so may leave the asset vulnerable to renewed selling pressure.
