Hyperliquid Jumps 16% as Institutional Investors Hold Firm

Hyperliquid (HYPE) staged a strong recovery from its weekend lows, climbing more than 16% as institutional investors maintained their exposure despite recent volatility across the cryptocurrency market.

HYPE spent several days trading in the red last week as broader market weakness pressured digital assets. However, data from Arkham Intelligence indicated that institutional investment vehicles tied to Hyperliquid remained resilient throughout the downturn, recording no sell-offs during the entire week.

According to the data, Hyperliquid-focused funds either increased their HYPE holdings or maintained their existing positions. The absence of selling pressure stood out at a time when some other cryptocurrency investment products experienced outflows.

This sustained institutional demand appears to have provided support for HYPE during its recovery. After falling to weekend lows, the Hyperliquid token rebounded by more than 16%, highlighting renewed buying activity as investors took advantage of lower prices.

Bitwise and Grayscale were among the most prominent institutional buyers during the period. Together, the two investment firms reportedly purchased approximately $2.8 million worth of HYPE over the week. Their accumulation added to signs that institutional interest in Hyperliquid remains strong despite short-term price fluctuations.

The buying activity is particularly notable because it occurred during a period of heightened crypto market volatility. Instead of reducing exposure as HYPE declined, institutional investors largely held their positions, while some funds used the weakness to accumulate additional tokens.

HYPE has since continued to trade with bullish momentum following its rebound. The combination of zero institutional sell-offs and fresh purchases from major investment firms has strengthened market confidence around the token's near-term outlook.

Whether Hyperliquid can extend its recovery will depend partly on broader cryptocurrency market conditions and whether institutional demand continues. If funds such as Bitwise and Grayscale maintain their buying activity, HYPE could receive additional support as traders look for signs of sustained upward momentum.
