XRP is attempting to stabilize around the crucial $1.00 level, but the latest price action has yet to produce a convincing bullish reversal. After briefly slipping below the psychological support zone, XRP is trading near $1.002, putting the cryptocurrency at one of its most important technical levels of 2026.

Despite buyers defending the $1 mark, XRP remains locked in a broader downtrend characterized by lower highs and lower lows. The token is also trading below its short-term moving average near $1.04, while the next major dynamic resistance sits around $1.08.

The longer-term technical picture remains challenging. Key moving averages are positioned significantly higher, around $1.16 and $1.35, highlighting the amount of resistance XRP would need to overcome before establishing a stronger bullish structure.

For an XRP price recovery to gain momentum, buyers first need to reclaim the $1.04-$1.08 range. A decisive breakout above $1.08 could open the door toward the $1.15-$1.16 resistance zone. Such a move would improve XRP's short-term technical outlook and provide stronger evidence that bearish pressure is weakening.

Until that happens, however, any XRP price rebound remains vulnerable to renewed selling. The limited reaction from buyers around $1.00 is particularly concerning, as the support level has not yet generated the kind of strong bounce typically associated with a meaningful market reversal.

Downside risk also remains elevated. If XRP records a daily close below $1.00, there is relatively little obvious technical support immediately underneath the current price. In that scenario, traders could turn their attention to the $0.95 region as the next potential support zone.

For now, XRP's $1 support remains the key level to watch. Buyers have prevented a decisive breakdown, but defending the psychological threshold alone is unlikely to reverse the broader XRP bearish trend. A higher low followed by a breakout above nearby resistance would provide a much stronger recovery signal. Until such a structure develops, XRP remains technically bearish, with the possibility of another test below $1 still firmly in play.
