DFDV Resumes Solana Buying as SOL Tops $100.

DeFi Development Corp (DFDV) has resumed its Solana accumulation strategy as SOL climbed above the key $100 level amid renewed strength across the cryptocurrency market. The move comes as Bitcoin trades above $80,000, fueling optimism that digital assets could be entering another bullish phase.

DFDV announced that it purchased 19,000 SOL at an average price of $98.14 per token. Following the acquisition, the company’s treasury has grown to more than 2.3 million SOL and SOL equivalents, reinforcing its position among the largest publicly traded Solana treasury companies.

The company said the purchase represents a return to active SOL accumulation as improving crypto market conditions create opportunities to expand its treasury. DFDV plans to continue holding Solana as a long-term treasury asset while deploying its holdings through staking and other onchain treasury infrastructure.

The latest purchase was partially financed using proceeds from DFDV’s divestment of its ZeroStack position. The move stands out after several crypto treasury companies slowed their digital asset purchases during the market downturn as falling cryptocurrency prices weighed on corporate valuations and share prices.

Investors reacted positively to DFDV’s renewed Solana buying. DFDV stock jumped more than 12% to around $5 following the announcement and has gained over 23% during the past week.

The stock’s recovery has closely followed Solana’s recent rally. SOL has risen more than 24% over the past seven days and approximately 43% over the last month as Bitcoin’s move above $80,000 improves sentiment across the broader crypto market.

Despite the rebound, both assets remain well below their 2026 peaks. DFDV stock is down slightly more than 3% year-to-date, while SOL remains approximately 45% lower in 2026.

Solana’s rally is also receiving support from network-related catalysts, including the SIMD-0550 proposal. The initiative could significantly increase SOL’s burn rate while reducing inflation, potentially strengthening Solana’s token economics as investor demand returns.
