Arbitrum’s ARB token surged more than 30% over the past 24 hours to around $0.11, breaking above the $0.07-$0.10 trading range that had held since June. The rally coincided with a sharp increase in activity and revenue on Robinhood Chain, which is built using Arbitrum technology.

Robinhood launched its Ethereum layer-2 network on July 1. Because the blockchain uses the Arbitrum technology stack, part of its revenue is paid to the Arbitrum ecosystem under the Arbitrum Expansion Program.

Robinhood Chain generated approximately $1.92 million in revenue during the latest 24-hour period, according to DefiLlama, making it the highest-revenue blockchain during that window. Its 30-day revenue reached $5.92 million, with more than two-thirds generated during the past week.

Under Arbitrum’s licensing structure, chains using its stack that settle outside Arbitrum One or Nova contribute 10% of chain profits. Of that amount, 8% goes to the ArbitrumDAO treasury and 2% to a protocol developer guild.

DefiLlama data showed the Arbitrum DAO received about $175,612 over 24 hours, $363,153 over seven days and $531,641 during the past 30 days.

The surge in onchain activity has been accompanied by significantly stronger ARB trading. The token recorded approximately $618 million in 24-hour volume, around eight times the previous day’s level. Robinhood Chain also processed $6.92 billion in weekly trading volume, representing an 89.47% increase.

However, the connection between rising Robinhood Chain revenue and ARB’s valuation remains indirect. ARB’s market capitalization increased by roughly $170 million in one day to approximately $746 million, far exceeding the revenue flowing into the Arbitrum treasury.

Arbitrum’s documentation does not provide for automatic distributions of treasury revenue to ARB holders. Any mechanism linking that income directly to the token would require governance approval.

The rally therefore appears to combine stronger Arbitrum fundamentals with speculative demand surrounding Robinhood Chain’s growth. Despite the 30% jump, ARB remains below $0.131 and well under its May peak.
