Pi Network price traded around $0.0958 on Tuesday, gaining roughly 1.3% as investors looked ahead to several major catalysts that could determine PI’s next move.

PI remains below the psychological $0.10 resistance level, but its recovery from early September weakness has improved short-term market sentiment. The move comes as the broader crypto market faces pressure, with Bitcoin trading below $79,000 and Ethereum hovering near $2,500. XRP remained around $1.40.

For Pi Network, holding above $0.095 could provide a foundation for another attempt to break above $0.10. Attention is increasingly turning to the Protocol 27 upgrade scheduled for September 15.

Protocol 27 entered Testnet 1 on August 21 following the Mainnet rollout of Protocol 26. The upcoming upgrade is expected to strengthen Pi Network’s technical infrastructure with smart-contract authentication, decentralized exchange and automated market-maker architecture, liquidity tools, improved RPC infrastructure and expanded payment utility.

A successful rollout could increase PI's usefulness across token swaps, liquidity provision, decentralized applications and new ecosystem launches. However, continuing token unlocks remain a potential source of selling pressure, making stronger network activity and demand important for sustaining price gains.

Pi Network has also expanded its developer capabilities. A September 4 release introduced local storage for approved Pi Browser applications, an app-specific staking data API and Pi.shareFile functionality for native file and video sharing. Updated documentation now provides developers with resources covering authentication, payments, sandbox development and Mainnet launches.

Macro and regulatory events could add volatility. September 15 is also scheduled for a U.S. Senate cloture vote related to the CLARITY Act, while the Federal Reserve begins its two-day FOMC meeting that day, with its interest-rate decision expected September 16.

Technically, PI faces immediate resistance between $0.098 and $0.10. A daily close above $0.10 could open the door toward $0.106 and $0.11, with $0.12 becoming a potential longer-term September target if Protocol 27 attracts fresh demand.

The RSI stands near 64, suggesting bullish momentum without extreme overbought conditions, while MACD remains close to zero. If PI loses $0.095 support, traders could turn their attention to $0.09, followed by $0.085 and $0.08.
