Avalanche Price Breakout Pushes AVAX Above $10 as $11 Resistance Looms

Avalanche (AVAX) has delivered one of its strongest technical breakouts in months, surging above the key $10 level after decisively escaping a prolonged consolidation range between $7.00 and $8.20.

AVAX climbed to around $10.27 following the breakout, with the cryptocurrency clearing several important resistance levels in rapid succession. The price first moved above the long-term moving average near $8.50–$8.70 before surpassing its short- and medium-term moving averages and reclaiming the psychologically important $10 mark.

Trading volume increased sharply during the advance, adding credibility to the bullish AVAX price movement. The volume expansion distinguishes the latest rally from previous recovery attempts that struggled to establish sustained momentum.

However, Avalanche is showing signs of short-term overheating after its rapid rise. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has moved above 75, indicating that AVAX has entered overbought territory. The latest price candle reached approximately $10.83 before retreating, suggesting some traders may already be taking profits.

After such a steep advance, AVAX could require a period of consolidation before attempting another major move higher. The first key support level is $10.00, which bulls will need to defend to preserve the immediate bullish structure.

If AVAX falls below $10, the $9.40–$9.50 region represents the next important support area. A deeper correction could bring Avalanche back toward $8.50–$8.70, where the major breakout occurred. Holding above this zone would keep the broader technical reversal intact despite potential short-term volatility.

On the upside, traders are watching the $10.80–$11.00 resistance range. A convincing breakout above $11, particularly with strong trading volume, could confirm another bullish extension. With relatively limited nearby technical resistance beyond that point, AVAX could have additional room to advance if buyers maintain control.
