CME Group plans to launch Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures on Oct. 19, expanding regulated derivatives access as both tokens posted sharp gains following the announcement.

The launch remains subject to regulatory review. CME plans standard and Micro contracts covering 250 BCH and 25 BCH, respectively, along with contracts for 10,000 UNI and 1,000 UNI.

Market data showed BCH rose about 29% on Sept. 22, closing at €301.19 compared with €232.97 the previous day. Seven-day gains stood at 41.30% for BCH and 38.02% for UNI in a separate market-data check that day.

The figures do not support a 63% weekly gain for both assets. CME said the contracts are intended to help market participants manage digital-asset price risk and gain exposure to the networks in its 24-hour regulated marketplace.

The planned futures are scheduled to begin trading Oct. 19, pending regulatory review.
