Bitcoin Falls Below $86,000 as Bitcoin Cash Gains 28%
Bitcoin slipped after reaching nearly $87,300, while Zcash rose 9%. The moves came as CME Group outlined plans for Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures.

Bitcoin (BTC) fell below $86,000 on Wednesday after reaching nearly $87,300, while Bitcoin Cash (BCH) climbed 28% and Zcash (ZEC) gained 9%.
BTC traded around $85,800 after failing to hold its advance toward the session high. Bitcoin Cash rose to nearly $349, and Zcash moved above $1,646.
The price moves came as CME Group announced plans to list Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures on Oct. 19, pending regulatory review. The contracts would expand the exchange’s regulated cryptocurrency derivatives lineup with larger and Micro products.
CME’s planned Bitcoin Cash futures would cover 250 BCH, while Micro Bitcoin Cash futures would cover 25 BCH. The products are designed to provide tools for managing digital-asset price risk and gaining exposure to the underlying networks.
The futures announcement concerns derivatives contracts, not spot listings of Bitcoin Cash or Uniswap. The planned launch remains subject to regulatory review.
