Bitcoin Wallets Holding 100–1,000 BTC Add 113,950 BTC
The cohort’s combined balance rose 2.22% to roughly 5.24 million BTC, but the data does not identify owners or confirm open-market purchases.

From July 15 to Sept. 23, 2026, the total Bitcoin (BTC) held by addresses with balances of 100 to 1,000 BTC climbed by 113,950 BTC to about 5.24 million BTC.
The balance rose 2.22% during the period. The figures measure wallet balances and do not establish that identified institutions or funds bought the coins.
The 100–1,000 BTC cohort has historically tracked broader crypto-market direction. Its accumulation has also often occurred before or during stronger price periods, although the balance increase does not establish that the group caused Bitcoin’s price movements.
Wallet counts cannot be equated with owner counts because one holder may use several addresses, and exchange or custodian activity may shift addresses between balance categories.
A prior analysis published May 28, 2025, found that the same cohort added 122,330 BTC over six weeks and grew by 337 wallets. The latest figures do not provide the exact number of wallets involved or confirm that the increase came from open-market purchases.
