AMD Crosses $1 Trillion Market Cap Before Falling Back Below Threshold
AMD reached an intraday high of $615.99 on Sept. 21, then closed above $1 trillion on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) briefly crossed a $1 trillion market capitalization during Sept. 21 trading, highlighting how quickly stock-price movements can change the market-value milestone.
AMD shares reached about $607 before climbing to an intraday high of $615.99. The stock later fell back below the $1 trillion threshold during the session.
AMD’s market capitalization stood at $1.018 trillion at the Sept. 22 close at 4 p.m. ET (20:00 UTC). It was $1.003 trillion at the Sept. 23 close at the same time.
Market capitalization is calculated by multiplying a company’s share price by its outstanding shares. Because share prices change continuously, crossing $1 trillion reflects a market-value threshold rather than a permanent corporate classification.
AMD senior marketing director Saša Marinković posted about the milestone on Sept. 21.
“$1 trillion market cap! 🚀 @AMD has officially joined one of the most exclusive clubs in the market,” Marinković wrote.
