Crypto Pullback Triggers $116 Million in One-Hour Liquidations

A brief market pullback that pushed Bitcoin (BTC) below $83,000 triggered about $116 million in crypto liquidations over nearly one hour, with seven large whale positions among those forcibly closed.
Long positions accounted for about $113 million, or 97.66%, of the total. BTC liquidations reached approximately $51.086 million, while Ether (ETH) liquidations totaled $29.582 million and XRP liquidations reached $7.847 million.
Hyperliquid recorded about $39.451 million in liquidations during the same period, representing 34.11% of the marketwide total. Nearly all of those liquidations were long positions.
Among the largest forced closures, one address had a BTC long position worth about $8.292 million fully liquidated, including 100 BTC. Another address had about $6.725 million in BTC and ZEC long positions partially liquidated and still held roughly 296 BTC and 1,581 ZEC.
A separate account had BTC and ETH positions worth about $6.387 million liquidated in full. Four other whale accounts also faced forced closures, including an XRP long position worth about $2.349 million that was fully liquidated.
