The XRP Ledger recorded 11,432 newly activated accounts during the period reported as September, lifting activity to about 4.23 times its approximately 2,700-account 30-day average.

The increase equals roughly 323% growth above the baseline. The exact dates covered by the September measurement have not been defined.

A separate dashboard reading showed a 245.1% increase over 24 hours. That figure uses a different reference period and cannot be treated as equivalent to the 30-day comparison.

The latest reading remained below an all-time high of 30,600 accounts and an approximately 15,000-account peak recorded earlier in 2026.

An XRP Ledger account is a funded address that can hold XRP and send transactions. A payment creates the account when it funds a previously unused, valid address sufficiently to establish an AccountRoot entry. The ledger does not use a dedicated account-creation transaction.

Newly activated accounts therefore do not necessarily represent individual users, wallets, companies or long-term participants. Exchange infrastructure, wallet migrations, applications onboarding users and speculative activity are possible explanations, but none has been confirmed.

The account increase alone also does not establish stronger demand for XRP. No specific launch, migration, company or market event has been linked to the rise in the available information.
