Upbit’s XRP Volume Tops Coinbase in 24-Hour Exchange Comparison
Upbit logged $224.22 million in XRP spot volume, ahead of Coinbase at $173.38 million, while Binance led the comparison with $306.13 million.

South Korean exchange Upbit recorded higher XRP spot volume than U.S.-based Coinbase in a 24-hour comparison on Thursday, Sept. 24, highlighting unusually strong XRP activity on Upbit.
Upbit’s XRP spot volume reached $224.22 million, compared with $173.38 million on Coinbase. Binance ranked first among the exchanges in the comparison with $306.13 million in XRP spot volume.
The figures compare individual exchanges rather than total XRP trading across South Korea and the United States. They also do not establish that South Korea alone determines global XRP price formation.
The XRP/KRW trading pair accounted for 15.57% of Upbit’s total activity. Upbit’s weekly XRP volume was approximately $1.71 billion.
XRP traded between $1.44 and $1.50 when the report was published. The 24-hour figures did not include an exact timestamp, time zone or confirmation that the measurement used the same midnight-to-midnight Korea Standard Time window applied to some Upbit calculations.
A separate market-data reading placed Upbit’s XRP volume at approximately $257.9 million at 9:42 a.m. ET (13:42 UTC) on Thursday, Sept. 24. The difference illustrates how exchange-volume figures can vary based on the provider, observation time and calculation window.
Upbit is a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, while Coinbase operates in the United States. The comparison concerns XRP spot activity on those platforms and does not measure the combined trading volume of either country’s entire market.
