U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs Reverse 2026 Outflows With $4.6B Rebound
The funds recorded an estimated $320 million net inflow for the year as Bitcoin gained roughly 35% since Aug. 19.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs swung to a roughly $320 million net inflow for 2026 after attracting $4.6 billion since Aug. 19, reversing the year’s losses as Bitcoin (BTC) rose above $80,000.
The funds drew $4.6 billion in net inflows from Aug. 19 through Sept. 23, while Bitcoin gained roughly 35% and climbed above $86,000 during the period.
Recent ETF demand remained strong. Combined inflows reached $999 million on Sept. 21 and $714.7 million on Sept. 22. A preliminary figure showed another $32.4 million entered the funds on Sept. 23.
The broader crypto market also recovered to roughly $3 trillion in total capitalization. The rebound coincided with the U.S. Treasury’s Aug. 19 announcement that it would at least double liquidity-support buybacks for longer-dated nominal Treasury securities, covering the 10-year-to-20-year and 20-year-to-30-year sectors.
