U.S. stocks closed mixed Thursday as several AI-linked shares declined, with Arm falling 7.88% and broader market volatility increasing.
Arm posted the largest percentage drop among the listed AI-linked companies. Tetra Tech fell 3.61%, Oracle declined 3.47%, UiPath dropped 3.37% and Accenture lost 3.33%.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.31%, while the S&P 500 slipped 0.02%. The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.01%.
The VIX rose 3.23%, indicating a higher level of expected stock-market volatility.
