Bitcoin Long-Term Holder Exchange Inflows Fall Below Annual Average
Long-term holder activity peaked around the March 2024 market top before rising again as the bear market began and now gradually cooling.

Bitcoin (BTC) exchange inflows from long-term holders have fallen below their annual average, pointing to less selling activity as market behavior becomes more measured.
Long-term holders were most active during the bull market around the March 2024 market top, when their average daily exchange inflows briefly exceeded the annual average by more than five times.
Activity was quieter around the 2025 market top, then increased as the bear market began. The annual average for daily exchange inflows rose from about 600 BTC to roughly 1,000 BTC during that period.
As the market moved toward a bear-market bottom, some trading days recorded inflows well above the annual average. The pattern coincided with increased realized losses among investors who had bought at higher market levels.
Long-term holder activity is now gradually declining, while exchange inflows remain clearly below the annual average. The shift indicates that the behavior of older Bitcoin holders has become less aggressive than during earlier stages of the market cycle.
