Bitcoin, Nasdaq Futures Fall as Trump Leaves Iran Strikes Open
Bitcoin traded at $83,324, down 1.3%, while Nasdaq futures fell 0.7% late Sunday. WTI crude rose nearly 1% to $93.28.

Bitcoin (BTC) and Nasdaq-100 futures declined late Sunday after President Donald Trump left open the possibility of additional U.S. strikes against Iran before November’s midterm elections.
Bitcoin traded at $83,324, down 1.3%, at 11:30 p.m. ET Sunday (03:30 UTC Monday). Nasdaq futures fell 0.7% at the same time.
WTI crude futures rose nearly 1% to $93.28, while Brent crude also gained. Higher energy prices can add to inflation pressure as markets assess the potential economic impact of a prolonged conflict.
Trump said he expected the war with Iran to end “very soon,” but did not rule out renewed military action before the elections.
“I don’t want to say that. I don’t want to say that. I mean, it’s possible, but I just don’t want to say that,” Trump said when asked whether strikes could resume.
Markets are also preparing for U.S. PCE inflation data, ISM manufacturing figures and the monthly employment report due this week. The releases may influence expectations for Federal Reserve policy after Bitcoin gained 42% over the previous three months.
