GRT, the token of The Graph, rose 25.58% as traders reacted to plans to move query traffic from Subgraph Studio’s staging environment to The Graph Network and higher reported trading activity.

Spot trading volume reached $117.1 million, up 530.9%. Derivatives volume climbed 892.99% to $150.25 million, while open interest increased 61.59% to $29.74 million.

The first phase covers BNB Smart Chain and Polygon, whose Subgraph Studio staging environment is scheduled to be deprecated on Oct. 8, 2026. Developers using only the staging environment must publish their subgraphs to The Graph Network and update their endpoints before Oct. 8.

Subgraph Studio will continue handling subgraph management, publishing, payments and API keys. Developers whose subgraphs are already published on The Graph Network are not expected to face a change from this phase.

The Graph Network is decentralized infrastructure for processing and serving blockchain data. Decentralized Indexers process and serve subgraph data on the network, while queries moved there generate network query fees. GRT functions as the network’s work utility token.

Other networks are likely to transition soon after, but no dates have been provided. The planned migration has not established a measurable increase in GRT demand, making future query activity and fee generation key factors in assessing its market significance.

Technical levels place the $0.027–$0.028 area in focus as a potential demand zone. The setup identifies $0.036 as resistance and $0.01706 as lower support; these are analyst-derived markers rather than official levels from The Graph Foundation.

Elevated derivatives activity could add volatility and selling pressure as the transition approaches. The next concrete step is the scheduled Oct. 8 deprecation of the staging environment for BNB Smart Chain and Polygon.
