Tokenized Stocks Cross $3 Billion in 2026 RWA Market Growth
The category has more than quadrupled since January and now represents about 8% of the $38 billion on-chain real-world asset market.

Tokenized stocks surpassed $3 billion in market capitalization during the fourth week of September, making them the fastest-growing segment of the real-world asset market as on-chain activity expanded sharply in 2026.
The category has more than quadrupled from about $700 million at the start of the year. The broader on-chain real-world asset market reached $38 billion, up 50% since January, with tokenized stocks accounting for about 8% of the total.
BNB Chain has about $1 billion in tokenized stocks, representing roughly 34% of the market. It is the only blockchain with tokenized-stock holdings at the $1 billion level.
BNB Chain has about 1.8 million tokenized-stock holders, or approximately 45% of the total. The figures place the network at the center of the category’s current distribution among blockchain ecosystems.
On-chain transfers involving tokenized stocks, including trading activity, exceeded $100 billion in the third quarter. The comparable figure in the first quarter was $6 billion.
The category’s 60-day rolling decentralized-finance total-value-locked ratio rose from 1.8% to 6.3%. Its decentralized-exchange share also increased from nearly zero to an average of 11% in September, compared with about 17% for meme coins.
