Spot Bitcoin and Ether ETF Holdings Rise as U.S. Stocks Rebound

Spot Bitcoin ETF holdings increased by about 5,890 BTC and Ether ETF holdings rose by roughly 9,486 ETH as technology shares strengthened and energy prices fell.

U.S. stocks rebounded last week as technology shares strengthened and energy prices fell sharply, while spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded fund holdings increased and crypto financing activity expanded.

The S&P 500 rose 1.21%, the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.06% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.28%. Spot Bitcoin (BTC) ETF holdings increased by about 5,890 BTC, while spot Ether (ETH) ETF holdings rose by roughly 9,486 ETH.

The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield climbed to 5.17% amid strong business activity and higher inflation expectations. Spot gold fell 2.13% to $4,284.97 an ounce.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) gained 29% amid CME plans to launch futures and Grayscale’s application for a spot ETF.

Crypto infrastructure activity also advanced in South Korea. Kakao Pay and KakaoBank partnered with Fireblocks to develop stablecoin infrastructure, while the Bank of Korea (BOK) began a 24-hour Korean won settlement pilot.

The crypto sector recorded 10 financing transactions totaling $169.2 million, a 41% increase from the previous week. Circle’s $100 million financing was the largest disclosed deal, while infrastructure projects accounted for the largest share of financing activity.

Institutional access gained momentum as privacy-finance and stablecoin infrastructure development accelerated.
