Ether (ETH) fell 1.77% in one hour to $2,673 at 11:28 a.m. ET (15:28 UTC) on Sept. 29, marking a sharp intraday decline for the second-largest cryptocurrency by market value.
Ether dropped from $2,721 one hour earlier to $2,673 in trading measured directly from Binance’s ETH/USDT spot market. The asset was still up 0.11% over the previous 24 hours.
Long Ether liquidations totaled $11.6 million across Binance, Bybit and OKX during the same hour, compared with $60,000 in short liquidations. Liquidations occur when exchanges close leveraged positions after traders can no longer meet margin requirements.
