SECZ Tops $212 Million as Tokenized-Stock Market Measures Diverge
Tokenized-stock counts and valuations vary by measurement, while Securitize had $5 billion in assets managed onchain.
Tokenized-stock market data shows sharply different totals across measurement methods, while Securitize’s SECZ reached a listed value of $212,461,656 as of Sept. 16.
A separate market measure put the sector’s capitalization at $3.19 billion and its 30-day decentralized-exchange volume at $9.70 billion as of Sept. 8. The differences reflect how market capitalization, asset counts, distributed value and wallet holdings capture separate parts of the market.
The Sept. 16 listing counted 6,334 tokenized stocks. That figure differs from the $3.19 billion capitalization recorded one week earlier, underscoring how the sector’s reported size depends on the assets and valuation methods included.
SECZ, Securitize’s tokenized common stock, accounted for $212,461,656 in the Sept. 16 valuation. The stock began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the SECZ ticker July 2, and Securitize brought the shares onchain the same day.
Securitize had approximately $5 billion in assets managed onchain as of Aug. 12. The company’s common stock is therefore part of a broader tokenization business that includes multiple assets and is measured separately from the value assigned to SECZ itself.
“With approximately $5.0 billion in assets now managed onchain and more than seven assets each with $100 million or more in AUM – more than any other platform – and a strengthened balance sheet, we believe we are very well positioned to lead the next stage of institutional tokenization growth,” Securitize Chairman and CEO Carlos Domingo said.
Tokenized stocks are blockchain-based instruments designed to represent or track equities. Their reported market size can vary depending on whether a measurement focuses on the number of assets, market capitalization, distributed value, trading volume or holders.
The available figures provide separate views of the market rather than a single consistent total. SECZ’s valuation and Securitize’s onchain assets offer company-level measures, while broader market counts and trading figures cover different groups of tokenized instruments and dates.
