Tom Lee Says Williams’ Dovish PCE View Could Ease Fed Stance
Williams expects August core PCE data to be dovish, which Lee said could lead the FOMC to soften its hawkish position and support stocks.

Tom Lee said Williams expects a dovish August core personal consumption expenditures reading, which could prompt the Federal Open Market Committee to soften its hawkish stance and support stocks.
Williams expects the data, scheduled for release Sept. 30, to be dovish, Lee wrote on X. A less hawkish position from the FOMC would be favorable for the stock market, he said.
The data is scheduled for release Sept. 30.
