Bitcoin (BTC) gained approximately 6.14% in September while a broad Federal Reserve dollar measure remained elevated and U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded heavy weekly inflows.

Bitcoin traded between approximately $83,000 and $84,600 in late September and was listed at $83,487.03 on Sept. 28. The move challenged the usual inverse-dollar narrative, although the figures do not establish a single cause for Bitcoin’s performance.

The Federal Reserve’s broad nominal dollar index stood at 120.3300 on Sept. 25, measured against a January 2006 base of 100. That series is separate from the ICE U.S. Dollar Index.

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $2.4 billion in net inflows during the week ended Sept. 25. Daily inflows totaled $999 million Monday, $714.7 million Tuesday, $347 million Wednesday, $190.6 million Thursday and $134.5 million Friday.

The daily figures add up to approximately $2.39 billion, consistent with the rounded weekly total. Cumulative net inflows since launch reached $57.6 billion, while the funds held $108.4 billion in net assets as of Sept. 25.

The ETF flows coincided with Bitcoin’s September advance but do not by themselves establish that they caused or supported the price move. The available figures instead show Bitcoin gains, substantial ETF activity and an elevated broad-dollar reading occurring during the same period.

The developments followed an earlier rise in the dollar index above 101 and higher Treasury yields. Bitcoin’s next cited market reading was the $83,487.03 level recorded for Sept. 28.
