Ether (ETH) rose 2.29% in four hours to $2,729 by 8:43 a.m. ET (12:43 p.m. UTC) Sept. 30, while short liquidations reached $8.4 million in the same one-hour period.

The price climbed from $2,668 to $2,729 over four hours, based on public exchange prices. The figure came from Binance’s spot ETH/USDT market. ETH was still down 0.41% from its level 24 hours earlier.

Short liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX totaled $8.4 million during the measured hour, compared with $30,000 in long liquidations. Ether remained the second-largest crypto asset by market capitalization, at approximately $329.39564 billion.
