Ether (ETH) short liquidations reached $15.27 million in the hour ending at 8:53 a.m. ET (12:53 UTC) on Sept. 30 as the cryptocurrency rose 1.54% from $2,695 to $2,737.
Total liquidations for ETH reached $15.30 million during the period. Short positions made up nearly all of the total, while long liquidations accounted for $30,000.
The figures were collected and combined by TokenPost from public liquidation data on Binance, Bybit and OKX. They cover those three exchanges only and do not represent the entire market.
Ether is the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. The liquidation data captures positions forcibly closed by exchanges after market moves exceeded traders’ available margin.
