Bitcoin (BTC) recorded $8.42 million in long-position liquidations during the hour ended at 9:53 a.m. ET (13:53 UTC) on Sept. 30, as its price fell 1.04% to $84,540 from $85,425.
Total Bitcoin liquidations reached $12.03 million during the period. Short-position liquidations accounted for $3.61 million, leaving long positions responsible for the larger share of forced closures.
The tally combines publicly disclosed liquidation data from Binance, Bybit and OKX. It covers those three exchanges and does not represent the entire cryptocurrency market.
Bitcoin remains the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization. The figures capture forced position closures during the measured hour and do not indicate the market’s next direction.
