BlackRock-Linked Crypto Holdings Rise $29.54B in Q3 Estimate
Holdings attributed to BlackRock-linked wallets reached about $77.1 billion by Sept. 30 as Bitcoin and Ether balances and prices increased.

Crypto holdings attributed to BlackRock-linked wallets rose by $29.54 billion during the third quarter to about $77.1 billion as both token balances and prices increased, although the figures remain estimates rather than a confirmed corporate treasury total.
The holdings rose from $47.56 billion on July 1, a gain of 62.11%, based on the Sept. 30 estimate. The estimate is not tied to a specific time on Sept. 30. The calculation combines changes in token prices with changes in the quantity of assets attributed to the wallets. It does not separate price gains from investor inflows, fund creations and redemptions, staking activity or transfers.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) was attributed with 801,270 Bitcoin (BTC), compared with 738,200 BTC at the start of the quarter. That represents an increase of 63,070 BTC, or 8.54%.
Holdings attributed to the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) and iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) totaled 3.76 million Ether (ETH), up from 2.75 million ETH at the beginning of the quarter. The change implies an increase of about 36.7%.
A separate Bitcoin-holder estimate listed BlackRock at 799,000 BTC valued at $67 billion, compared with 801,270 BTC in the quarter-end estimate. The difference reflects a discrepancy between the two estimates and their observation dates.
IBIT provides Bitcoin exposure, while ETHA provides Ether exposure. ETHB also seeks staking rewards. Available fund data did not include Sept. 30 token balances; the latest listed dates ranged from Sept. 25 to Sept. 29.
Bitcoin was estimated to rise from $58,564 on July 1 to nearly $84,000 on Sept. 30, while Ether gained more than 70% over the same period. Those price changes formed part of the dollar-value increase, alongside the larger token balances.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs also attracted nearly $2.95 billion in net inflows during the 30 days ending Sept. 28. BlackRock's IBIT received $54.84 million on Sept. 28, contributing to broader fund inflows during the period.
