Bitcoin Enters October Near $83,500 as ETF Inflows Meet Late Outflows
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $2.65 billion in September net inflows, then saw $148.69 million in outflows on Sept. 30.

Bitcoin (BTC) entered October near $83,500 as strong monthly demand for U.S. spot ETFs gave way to $148.69 million in net outflows on Sept. 30.
The September total was $2.65 billion in net inflows. The contrast between that monthly figure and the final trading day’s withdrawals points to mixed demand signals.
Bitcoin faces resistance at $85,000 and $87,000. A sustained move above both levels would put $89,000 to $90,000 in focus, while a failure to reclaim them would leave $82,000 as a key downside level. These are conditional price scenarios, not confirmed future prices.
Bitcoin rose in 10 of the 13 Octobers from 2013 through 2025 and fell in the other three. The historical sample is small.
The September employment report is scheduled for Oct. 2, and the September Consumer Price Index (CPI) report is due Oct. 14. Both are set for 8:30 a.m. ET (12:30 UTC).
The Federal Open Market Committee’s next meeting is set for Oct. 27–28. The release and meeting dates are scheduled, but their effect on Bitcoin is uncertain.
