Crypto Liquidations Reach $57.99 Million in One Hour, With Shorts at 98%

Crypto liquidations totaled $57.99 million in the hour ending at 12:21 a.m. ET (04:21 UTC) on Oct. 2, with short positions making up 98% of the total in TokenPost’s three-exchange tally.

The tally combined publicly available liquidation data from Binance, Bybit and OKX. It counted 2,636 liquidation events: $57.01 million in short positions and $990,000 in long positions.

Binance recorded $42.69 million in liquidations, followed by Bybit at $9.36 million and OKX at $5.94 million. By asset, Bitcoin (BTC) led with $45.96 million, while Ether (ETH) had $6.35 million and Solana (SOL) had $2.92 million.

The figures cover those three exchanges only and are not a marketwide total.
