A $2.03 million short position in Ether (ETH) perpetual futures was liquidated in a single event on Binance at 12:30 a.m. ET (04:30 UTC) Oct. 2, at a price of $2,747.

A short position generally benefits when an asset’s price falls; a liquidation closes a position when it can no longer meet the exchange’s margin requirements.
