Zcash (ZEC) rose 3.98% in one hour to $1,394 at 2:01 p.m. ET (18:01 UTC) Oct. 2, while short liquidations across three exchanges reached $1.72 million.

ZEC rose from $1,341 an hour earlier, based on Binance spot ZEC/USDT quotes. It was still down 2.91% over the previous 24 hours.

Long liquidations totaled $230,000 and short liquidations $1.72 million over the same hour across Binance, Bybit and OKX.

Zcash ranked 10th by market capitalization, at about $22.68624 billion.
