Bitcoin (BTC) short positions worth $9.58 million were liquidated in the hour ending at 8:36 a.m. ET (12:36 UTC) Oct. 2, as the cryptocurrency rose 0.46% over the same period.

Total Bitcoin liquidations reached $10.05 million during the hour. Long positions accounted for $470,000, while short positions made up the remaining $9.58 million.
