U.S. July and August Payroll Growth Revised Down by 60,000

U.S. payroll growth for July and August was revised down by a combined 60,000, with July shifting to a decline and August's increase trimmed, changing the picture of recent labor-market growth.

July nonfarm payrolls were revised from a gain of 21,000 to a loss of 10,000. August's increase was revised from 162,000 to 133,000.
