About 71% of September tokenized stock trading volume on Uniswap occurred outside regular U.S. market hours, extending activity into nights, weekends and holidays.
Nearly half of the trades took place while U.S. stock exchanges were closed. The figures show that trading in tokenized stocks on Uniswap continued beyond the hours when U.S. exchanges are open.
Weekend trading also tracked subsequent price gaps in most of the 25 large gaps examined. In 20 cases, token prices moved over the weekend in the same direction as the gap when the stock market opened Monday.
Robinhood Chain surpassed most other blockchain networks in tokenized stock trading volume.
Uniswap’s September trading activity adds to its broader use for transactions. The platform recorded about 140 million transactions in August, more than Cboe BZX and NYSE American combined, as its monthly activity compared with traditional exchanges.
