Bitcoin Tops $87,000 Intraday Before Closing at $84,510.80
September U.S. payrolls increased by 29,000, and the unemployment rate was 4.2%. An XRPL lending amendment proposes changes to vaults and interest accounting.

Bitcoin (BTC) briefly traded above $87,000 on Oct. 2, reaching an intraday high of $87,128.60 before ending the day at $84,510.80. The daily close was below $87,000.
Nonfarm payroll employment increased by 29,000 in September. The unemployment rate was 4.2%.
On the XRP Ledger (XRPL), the proposed LendingProtocolV1_1 amendment would add closed-ended lending vaults and change interest accounting to a cash basis. Under that approach, interest is recognized when payments are made.
The existing XRPL lending protocol supports fixed-term, uncollateralized loans funded by a Single Asset Vault. It relies on off-chain underwriting and risk management.
