Bitcoin Sheds $16.47 Million in Long Positions Over One Hour

The three-exchange liquidation total reached $19.36 million as Bitcoin fell 0.50% during the hour.

Bitcoin (BTC) saw $16.47 million in long positions liquidated in the hour through 10:37 a.m. ET (14:37 UTC) on Oct. 5, as its price fell 0.50% over the same period.

The liquidation total across Binance, Bybit and OKX was $19.36 million. Long positions made up most of the total, while $2.89 million in short positions were liquidated.

Bitcoin declined from $86,020 to $85,588 during the hour. The figures are a combined total for those three exchanges, not a market-wide estimate.
