Crypto traders saw $32.39 million in liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX in the hour through 10:37 a.m. ET (14:37 UTC) Oct. 5, with long positions accounting for 83% of the total.

The tally included 4,588 liquidations. Long positions totaled $26.72 million, while short positions totaled $5.67 million. The figures cover those three exchanges and reflect data collected and combined by TokenPost; they are not a marketwide total.

Binance recorded $22.39 million in liquidations, compared with $4.01 million on Bybit and $5.99 million on OKX. By asset, Bitcoin (BTC) led with $19.36 million, followed by Ether (ETH) at $3.10 million and Solana (SOL) at $2.10 million.

Liquidations occur when exchanges close leveraged positions after traders can no longer meet required margin. The one-hour figures show that long positions made up most of the recorded closures during this period.
