Avalanche (AVAX) fell 4.30% in one hour to $11.12 at 10:08 p.m. ET on Oct. 6 (02:08 UTC Oct. 7), extending a sharp short-term decline in the token’s spot price.

The price dropped from $11.62 one hour earlier on Binance’s AVAX/USDT spot market. Despite the hourly selloff, AVAX remained up 0.04% over the previous 24 hours.

Long liquidations totaled $760,000 across Binance, Bybit and OKX during the same hour, while short liquidations reached $10,000. The imbalance indicates that positions betting on higher prices accounted for most of the forced closures during the move.

AVAX had a market capitalization of about $5.12854 billion and ranked 25th among crypto assets at the time of the measurement. The figures reflect TokenPost’s direct collection and calculation of publicly available exchange prices and liquidation data.
