U.S. Economic Calendar Sets Mortgage, Oil and Fed Releases for Oct. 7

The Mortgage Bankers’ Association, Energy Information Administration and Federal Reserve have scheduled updates Wednesday.

U.S. markets face three scheduled economic updates Wednesday, Oct. 7, covering mortgage applications, petroleum inventories and the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting.

The Mortgage Bankers’ Association is scheduled to release its mortgage applications data at 7 a.m. ET. The update compiles several mortgage loan indexes, including a purchase applications index that measures applications submitted to mortgage lenders.

The Energy Information Administration’s weekly Petroleum Status Report is due at 10:30 a.m. ET. The report provides information on petroleum inventories.

The Federal Reserve is scheduled to publish minutes from its Sept. 15-16 meeting at 2 p.m. ET (18:00 UTC). The minutes will detail the discussion behind the central bank’s policy decision.
