Cosmos Hub’s native token, ATOM, was trading at $1.71 on Oct. 7 near its $1.70 200-day simple moving average, putting the long-term technical level at the center of the market setup.

A daily close below $1.70 would bring support at $1.66 and then $1.61 into focus. If ATOM holds above the average, the next levels are a $1.74 pivot and $1.79 resistance, followed by stronger resistance near $1.87.

Trading indicators used in the technical setup showed Binance spot volume of $2.77 million over the previous 24 hours and a taker buy/sell ratio of 0.68. The ratio indicates that aggressive selling exceeded aggressive buying during the measured period.

Binance Futures positioning showed top traders 63.7% long and retail traders 59.7% long. Open interest rose 2.61% while ATOM’s price declined, and the funding rate stood at 0.0048%.

The setup assigns a 60% estimate to a move toward $1.61 if support fails and a 40% estimate to a move toward $1.87 if ATOM holds above its 200-day average over the next week.
