The share of circulating XRP supply in profit reached 57.172% in the latest reading, the highest level since January as XRP holds above $1.40 and trades near $1.51.

The metric measures the share of circulating XRP last moved at prices below the current price. The calculation treats those movements as purchases. At the latest reading, about 39.12 billion of the 68.4 billion circulating XRP were in profit.

About 29.2 billion XRP, or 42.8% of the circulating supply, remained in loss.

The reading marks a recovery from Aug. 16, when 37.27% of XRP supply was in profit as the token traded near $0.99. At that point, about 25.5 billion XRP were profitable and nearly 43 billion were in loss.

XRP's profitable-supply ratio was higher at the start of the year. On Jan. 5, 77.25% of the supply was in profit while XRP traded at $2.40. By Jan. 17, the share had fallen to 60% as the token declined to $2.06.

When XRP reached $1.99 on Jan. 18, the profitable-supply ratio dropped to 56.27%. It fell below 50% by the end of January and remained under that level for about three months while XRP stayed below $1.50.

The ratio moved back above 50% in May when XRP reached $1.47, but later declined toward 37% in August.

XRP fell to $0.98 in mid-August before closing the month near $1.38, a gain of about 30%. The token added nearly 8% in September, while October brought a pullback. The August and September gains increased the share of circulating supply in profit.
