Crypto futures liquidations reached $699 million over the previous 24 hours, with long positions accounting for most forced closures and Ether liquidations surpassing Bitcoin liquidations.

Long liquidations totaled $650 million, compared with $48.5969 million for short positions. The imbalance shows that traders holding bullish positions absorbed the majority of the market’s forced closures during the period.

Ether (ETH) liquidations totaled $236 million, while Bitcoin (BTC) liquidations reached $186 million. The figures put Ether liquidations $50 million above Bitcoin liquidations.

The largest individual liquidation was a $26.6438 million position in Binance’s ETHUSDC market.
