Meteora (MET) led a group of advancing altcoins on Oct. 8, rising 60% over 24 hours to $0.50 even as Bitcoin (BTC) and the broader crypto market moved lower.

Wormhole (W) gained 17.8% to $0.0163, while Algorand (ALGO) rose 16.6% to $0.1377. Jupiter (JUP) added 16% to $0.379.

Raydium (RAY) climbed 13.3% to $2.46, and Starknet (STRK) advanced 12.3% to $0.056. Curve (CRV) increased 10.9% to $0.388.

The gains highlighted a split session in which selected altcoins advanced while the broader crypto market retreated.
