Dogecoin Trades Below $0.09 Ahead of BWOW ETF’s Expected Oct. 14 Final Trading Day
DOGE fell 3.47% over 24 hours to $0.08765 as Bitwise prepared to liquidate the fund, with cash distributions scheduled for Oct. 22.

Dogecoin (DOGE) traded below $0.09 on Oct. 8, six days before Bitwise’s BWOW Dogecoin ETF is expected to have its final trading day on NYSE Arca as part of a planned liquidation.
DOGE was priced at $0.08765 at 2:59 a.m. ET (06:59 UTC), down 3.47% over 24 hours. The token’s range during that period was $0.08518 to $0.09112.
Bitwise Investment Advisers announced the BWOW liquidation on Sept. 10. The fund’s expected final trading day is Oct. 14, while new shares are expected to stop being created before the Oct. 15 market open. Cash distributions are scheduled for Oct. 22, based on the fund’s net asset value as of Oct. 21.
BWOW provides exposure to Dogecoin held by the fund. The liquidation requires the fund to convert its holdings to cash, but the available information does not quantify the effect on DOGE’s spot price, trading volume or liquidity.
Technical analysis places several resistance levels between DOGE’s current price and $0.10. Support is identified at $0.0871 to $0.0887, followed by $0.0845 and $0.0800 to $0.0820. Resistance appears at $0.0920 to $0.0932, $0.0950, $0.0974 to $0.0980 and $0.1000 to $0.1020.
Those levels are analytical markers rather than confirmed market outcomes. Earlier coverage examined Dogecoin’s resistance near $0.10.
Short-term indicators were mixed. One-hour readings showed an RSI score of 35, a moving-average score of 40, a MACD score of 56 and a volume-trend score of 74. The daily technical assessment was neutral.
DogeOS separately opened an EVM-compatible public testnet on Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. ET. The project described it as an application layer for trading, lending, stablecoins, games and other applications that use DOGE for fees.
“The testnet gives builders a place to turn ideas for Dogecoin into working applications,” DogeOS founder and CEO Jordan Jefferson said.
The testnet announcement did not establish a mainnet launch date or a measurable short-term effect on DOGE demand. The next fund-related dates are the expected Oct. 14 final trading day and the Oct. 22 cash distributions.
