Crypto traders saw $58.31 million in positions liquidated during the one-hour period ending at 9:43 a.m. ET (13:43 UTC) on Oct. 8, with long positions accounting for 96% of the total.
The tally, compiled from public liquidation data collected from Binance, Bybit and OKX, included 6,291 liquidations. Long liquidations reached $55.89 million, while short liquidations totaled $2.42 million.
Binance recorded the largest share at $42.36 million, followed by Bybit with $10.73 million and OKX with $5.21 million. Bitcoin (BTC) accounted for $22.13 million of the liquidations, Ether (ETH) for $18.57 million and Solana (SOL) for $5.99 million.
The figures cover three major exchanges and do not represent the entire crypto market.
