Cardano’s ADA Falls 2% as Large-Holder Balances, Futures Interest Decline
ADA traded near $0.25 on Oct. 8 as large-holder balances fell by about 90 million tokens since Sept. 20 and futures open interest dropped 9% over the past week.

Cardano’s ADA traded near $0.25 on Oct. 8 as large-holder balances and futures open interest declined, adding market pressure while technical indicators remained broadly steady.
ADA was trading at $0.2522 at 4:20 a.m. ET (08:20 UTC), down 1.79% over 24 hours. Across available market readings, the token’s decline ranged from 1.5% to 2.4%, depending on the market and measurement time.
A separate historical reading recorded an Oct. 8 close of $0.2496, down 2.35%, after ADA traded between $0.2486 and $0.2580.
Large-holder balances have fallen by about 90 million ADA since Sept. 20. Because the figure covers multiple weeks, it does not by itself establish that large holders sold on Oct. 8.
Futures open interest declined from $1.99 billion to $1.81 billion over the past week, a 9% drop that indicates less leveraged exposure as ADA weakened.
ADA remained above eight tracked moving averages, and its 14-day relative strength index stood at 56.4. Technical support was identified at $0.2488 and $0.2428, while resistance stood at $0.2586, followed by $0.2670 and $0.2768.
A daily close below $0.2488 would weaken the short-term technical setup, while a close above $0.2586 would strengthen it. The available figures do not establish that changes in large-holder balances alone caused the decline.
