Solana (SOL) fell 2.90% in one hour to $109 at 11:33 a.m. ET (15:33 UTC) on Oct. 8, extending its 24-hour decline to 6.11%.
The move took SOL down from $113 one hour earlier. The price was measured from Binance’s spot SOL/USDT market using exchange data collected and calculated by TokenPost.
Long liquidations across Binance, Bybit and OKX totaled $15.85 million during the same hour, while short liquidations reached $50,000. Liquidations occur when leveraged positions are forcibly closed after traders can no longer meet margin requirements.
Solana ranked seventh among crypto assets by market capitalization at about $66.01103 billion.
